Dieser Workshop mit den Begründern der Bowspring-Methode, eines revolutionären neuen Yogastils, ist geeignet für alle Leute, die ihre körperliche Haltung so einrichten wollen, dass diese ihrem Leben zu neuen, vitalen Impulsen verhilft. Für die Yogapraxis wie für den Alltag lernen die Teilnehmer, was es heißt, sich über die rückwärtige Muskulaturkette aufzurichten und von dorther dynamisch zu bewegen.

Aus Erfahrung weiß ich, dass viele Bowspringer, vor allem Lehrer, gerne einmal wissen und erleben würden, wie eine ganz normale Bowspring-Klasse in Denver unterrichtet wird. Jetzt habt ihr die Chance, gleich an zwei Klassen teilzunehmen. John Friend unterrichtet am Freitag Mittag, Desi am selben Abend, eine „gewöhnliche“ Studioklasse, ohne Workshopcharakter! Du bekommst einen Eindruck, wie eine normaler Studioalltag im Bowspring-Stil aussehen könnte. Beide Lehrer stehen natürlich im Anschluss für Fragen zur Verfügung. Awaken, enliven, and renew your body & soul with this exclusive 2-Day, 10-hour workshop in the Bowspring method with Desi Springer and John Friend. 

 The Bowspring is a universal postural template for optimizing any movement or posture — yoga, athletics, and especially moving around in our daily life—for greater lightness, agility, ease, and power. This dynamic alignment method is also highly therapeutic for any musculo-skeletal issues including lower back problems, hip pain, knee or shoulder injuries. 

 Most importantly, the Bowspring method integrates a mindfulness training with the cultivation of compassion and accountability to help each of us create our own individual destiny. In this weekend, we are offering a transformative shift in self-knowing, which can reveal a path toward harmony and long-term health. 

In each class, students will be taught katas – set sequences of simple, repeated movements which in addition to being the flowing form for learning and practicing the Bowspring unveil unconscious postural patterns. In this all-levels workshop, the most elemental forms of Level 1 Bowspring poses will be initially introduced. 

 With new awareness of our habitual body language through expanded postural understanding, we bring increasing balance to our mind-body wellness. By integrating this new postural technology of the Bowspring method, we gain the freedom to choose a healthier, more positive body language that we communicate not only to others, but to the deepest part of ourselves. 

Through the Bowspring practice students can expect to cultivate increased:

  • Self-awareness, sensory perception and mental focus
  • Compassion, patience, and courage
  • Inner strength and courage to look at their unconscious mind-body habitual patterns
  • Stress management and control of nervous system reactivity
  • Authentic confidence and self-respect
  • Uniform muscle tone on all parts of the body
  • Tapering waistline and mounded glutes
  • Lightness, agility, springy power

 

Desi and John will guide any level of student, from beginners to yoga teachers and fitness instructors, from the base of the Bowspring experience to the summit of a powerful transformational experience in just two days. This workshop is composed of four classes that will progressively lead students from the most basic forms and movements of the Bowspring to a more intermediate/advanced practice on Sunday afternoon. Since the classes will build cumulatively, we encourage a 2-day commitment. Saturday can be experienced in single sessions for those students who want to experience the Elementals of the Bowspring method only, and there are no drop-ins on Sunday afternoon.
